Ed M's Journal
Today was the day! Had a flatbed truck scheduled for a week to back up to a dock and take her to the ground. Confirmed every day this week that we were good and heard "all set, unless something comes up." Well 1 hour from the scheduled time today and I make my call to hear, "Oh, something came up. Can we do it at 8:00 tonight?". The answer was no and I scrambled to find another company. Worked out good because in less than an hour I found someone who could do it and kept on my original schedule.
Once on the ground I took it for its maiden voyage to see if there were any major issues. Had clutch and brakes so sent the truck on its way and drove it about 3 miles to a shop that will do an alignment, inspection and look into a noise somewhere in the driveline tomorrow. The sun was shining with temps in the low 80s and had a blast for the few minutes I had behind the wheel.
The car needs a bath, a hood installed (put the hood frame in last night quick and dirty for now) and some miscellaneous small cosmetic things. Barring any bad news from the shop it will go home tomorrow for good.
