A good way to get the pieces to blend and look seemless is to cut the carpet on an angle. Turn the scissors on a 45 degree angle and cut the backing shorter than the pile. That way the pile overlaps when you butt the pieces up; you can brush the edges up with your finger tips and itll all blend in together.Each piece should look like this when viewed from the side \\\\\\\\\\\\\\///////////////////
