Did you repair or replace some worn out parts?
Add a new accessory or performance part? Give it a good cleaning?
Take it out for a drive on twisty back roads?

What did YOU do with your Toyota MR2 today?

Post your update below......

Bled the cooling system in my mk1. AGAIN. Sometimes it won't draw coolant back into the system from the overflow bottle. Never should have used that fix in a bottle stuff. Didn't stop the leak and having a heck of a time flushing it all out. Cloggs the litle valve in the cap. Ahh the joys of keeping that old girl on the road.

Sounds awful, I've always distrusted that "instant coolant leak fix" stuff.

Are you sure you don't have any air bubbles trapped in the system?

Anyway, welcome to the website Daniel, look forward to seeing some photos of your Mk1

Here she is. At the racetrack and up on jacks where she spends most of her time winking smiley I call her Rusty because of the condition of the paint when I got her. I'm the second owner with 208k. Rebuild head with 3 angle valve job. Original clutch. 205 50 15 Falken Azenis tires. Front strut brace. K&N air filter. All else original.

208k on the original block huh? That's pretty damn good... although, doing a valve job on the head can get you quite a few miles.

Looks good, I hope you get it off the jack stands and thrash it around once in a while winking smiley

Oh yea. Took a little jaunt around town today. Next local track day is Feb 15 and 16 at Autoclub Speedway Fontana courtesy of Speed Ventures. Cooling system seems good (for now) so hoping for a litle autocross that weekend. Wife and baby permitting.
Had to get the head done after an awesome day at a rallycross event late 2012 if memory serves correct. Too much time on the rev limiter made the gasket give up I suspect.
-.010 brought it back. Didn't spring for the TRD metal gasket or a port and polish but feels better seat of the pants than when I bought it with 165k.

Lucky to have a track day nearby! We have a real lack of road courses around here.
I guess if I start wintering in the Southwest that would be one advantage, lots of tracks around.

I'm impressed you got to keep your track car, most of my friends have had to get rid of their speed toys once the baby arrives

Taken any in-car footage? You can just paste a youtube link in your post and it will automatically get embedded link this:

Finally getting a little free time I was able to put a little something together. This covers several events over the last two years. Can't seem to paste a link from my android but search YouTube: AutoXcompilation

Got another to upload. Hopefully soon.

Here's the link... let me get a smileys with beer and have a look...

That's really nice, I like the different camera angles, really shows how fast the Mk1 sets in a turn.

I traded one of my 2's, my '86 MR2 for a '98 Lexus SC400 ... drinking smiley

I worked at Toyota service departments for years, and when Toyota's little sister was born, I walked next door to look at them ... The LS 400 captured my heart, but I still like my Sports Cars ...

When the SC 300/400 was introduced, I wished the 400 wasn't 'auto only' ... Now all these years later, I find it difficult to get in and out of my 2's and had a chance to do a swap ...

We are both very pleased with how it worked for us ...

Bob Lewis liked my 20V BT until he got home and his wife claimed it smiling smiley

My MR2 at Nashville (I am an SCCA Starter, National) and the '98 SC 400
