MY 2007 HONDA CIVIC SI WAS IN THE DEALER GETTING WARRANTY WORK DONE. MY DAUGHTERS CAR HAD A TRANS GOING BAD. MY WIFE WANTED A NEW BLUE CRV.....SO I TRADED MY CAR IN FOR MY GIRLS. GREAT!!! BUT WAIT,WHAT ABOUT THE MR2 I'VE BEEN SEEING IN THAT PARKING LOT FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS. I FOUND THE OWNER AND ASKED HIM HOW MANY MILES DID IT HAVE ON IT. 67,000 ON AN 87. HOW MUCH? LET;S DO A DEAL. HE WAS 84 YEARS OLD AND LOVED THE CAR. BUT HE KNEW I WOULD TAKE CARE OF HER. IT'S TWO YEARS NOW,NEW TIRES, ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS,A TUNE UP AND IT RUNS GREAT. I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE IT TO THE SMOKIES. FLORIDA'S ROADS AND FLAT AND STRAIGHT. I'M GETTING A LITTLE BORED.

Hi Joe. He's my twist on mods once a car gets close to 30 years old and has managed to stay stock thru the years you are lucky enough to be the keeper of a time capsule. The mods that improve the cars safety are ok but many suspension, engine performance and appearance mods will actually decrease the collector value of the vehicle unless they are period correct . Stick with mods that can be easily reversed when its time to sell the vehicle, it is more profitable to sell these items separately on their own in the market place. These days dings & dents can be treated without painting, My question how is the condition of the paint? Is it beyond saving with a professional buffing? Here in Az cars left outside may not rust but the sun will destroy any plastic, rubber and paint. Every climate has its own curse. With 67k miles on it and a adult prev owner this thing is just broken in. I would just stick with a t-belt fluid changes and a good top end cleaner and just drive the heck out of it.

I have had good luck with e-bay in the past but when all else fails you can cross reference the shape your after by using the Steel Rubber Products catalog their listings are for domestic vehicles but they have a extensive list of universal product by the foot. It will not have molded lower corners but with a little heat its possible, at least the 1st generation body style has a flat rear glass this makes it a lot easier to work with.
